Uranos'la Gaia'nın oğlu,Titanlardan biri.Erkek kardeşleri Okeanos, Hyperion,İapetos ve Kronos'tur.Kız kardeşleri Theia, Rheia, Themis, Tethys, Mnemosyne ve Phoibe'dir.

Koios'la Phoibe evlenirler,iki kızları olur:Leto ve Asteria.Işığı simgeleyen göksel varlıkları meydana getiren Koios'la Phoibe Apollon ve Artemis'in atalarıdır.
